Did you know that my love for dogs and animals came from growing up having a small farm of animals?
When I was little and we lived in Tacna, Peru, the house we were in had an outdoor space in the back where we raised chickens, guinea pigs, bunnies and other small animals.
There, my mom showed me how to care for the animals we had, how and when to feed them and best tend to their individual needs.
One day, while I was trying to pour myself some juice (I was 6 or 7 at the time) I accidentally spilled the juice on the table and before my mom could notice I asked her to check on the chickens to see if they had new eggs.
